Bella Swan:

Bella Swan used to live in Phenix with her mother ever since she was a child. When she was a baby her mother had eloped from her father who lived in Forks, Washington, and settled in Phoenix as a single mother. Bella is the daughter of Cheif Charlie Swan- a police chief at Forks. Bella moves to Forks, Washington to live with her father after her mother decides to get married to another man. Bella is clumsy, pale with thick brown hair, and eventually falls in love with Edward Cullen- a vampire, once she moves to Forks.

Edward Cullen:

Born originally on June 20, 1901 Edward was seventeen years old when the spanish influenza hit his town. His mother and him were admitted into the hospital, and Carlisle Cullen- a "vegetarian" vampire who had devoted himself to doctory, was their doctor. When Edwards mother passed away one night, she begged Carlisle to do whatever was possible to keep her son alive. Having no other option, Carlisle turned the dying Edward into a vampire. After this, Edward lived with Carlisle and his wife Esme with his "adopted" siblings, Jasper, Alice, Rosalie, and Emmett. Being a vampire, they are all cold to the touch, marble-hard in touch, pale in complexion, and inhumanely gorgeous. Although most vampires feast on human blood, the Cullens decided to lead a life not harming the humans, and to instead feast on animal blood. The cullens assimilate into society in Forks. All vampires are frozen in the age for eternity at which they were turned into a vampire. Edwards Cullen is special because he has the ability to read peoples mind. In appearance, he is muscular, pale, has topaz if not black or golden eyes, is tall, and has a messy bronze-colored hair style. He falls deeply in love with Bella Swan once she moves into his town, and finds himself risking his own safety many times for her safety.

The main setting of Twilight is in Forks, Washington.

However, sometimes the setting changes to La Push, Phoenix, Port Angeles, Seattle.
