CRASH!
After hearing the noise downstairs, I quickly went to investigate to ensure everything was okay. I cautiously checked each room and found that it was just the sound of something falling over.
Sound travels through the air in vibrations, which can pass through walls and doors to reach our ears in another room. These vibrations cause the air molecules in the room to move, ultimately allowing us to hear the sound even if the source is in a different location.
you can hear someone in another room because sound travels. it is like waves that you can hear from a little bit far away. hae hae
Sound travels in a room through a series of vibrations. When an object, such as a speaker, creates sound waves, these waves propagate through the air particles in the room, causing them to vibrate and transmit the sound energy. The sound waves then reach our ears, where they are converted into electrical signals and interpreted by our brain as sound.
Sound waves are diffracted around corners and so can be heard when the source of the sound is not in a straight line.
In an empty room, the sound is mostly just bounced around. When more things are placed in the room, they provide more ability to absorb sound and reflect in different directions such that it actually has to take a longer path to get from one place to another (zig zag instead of straight path) with the consequent attenuation of the intensity of the sound. Mostly though it's the absorption of the sound by the stuff you fill the room with.If a room has things like soft chairs, sofas, beds, etc, they serve to absorb some of the sound waves.
It stays in the room and does not leak out into the surrounding areas. If you wanted to diffuse that sound you would use acoustical panels or acoustical baffles in order to absorb the sound from bouncing around the room. A soundproof room means it contains the sound in the room. Acoustical treatment is meant to diffuse and absorb the sound which is in the room.
If you are signing in an (otherwise) empty room the sound will echo around you and will possibly sound high-pitched. If you are signing in an empty room then the room isn't empty.
Sound can travel faster through space because space is a vacuum where there are no particles to slow down the transmission of sound waves. In a room at room temperature, sound travels through the molecules of the medium, such as air, which can slow down its speed.
I you were in another room and the other room was giving out sound, then you would hear less if your room full of furniture because of the solid (The Furniture) in the way of the vibrating air particles coming from the room giving off sound
Your best bet would be to go for something second hand off of ebay or the local trading magazine. Also if price is an issue you should consider the following: how is your room set up? How does your room sound? Are you aware that the most expensive monitors will sound awful in a bad room. Yet cheap monitors in a better room can sound a little more decent. I would recommend saving up and getting the best monitors that you can get your hands on AFTER you consider the sound of the monitoring environment.
Something might be as funny as a clown falling from a tall building. Other things might be as funny as your favorite comedian telling jokes in your living room for you and a group of your friends.
