Shakespeare's plays, at least the best of them, touch on issues which are of perennial significance to people, and expose multiple ways of looking at those issues. Because he doesn't preach and he doesn't "have a message", there are many many ways of looking at the situations he draws. At the same time, he is not afraid to have people express intense, violent emotions about their situations, and take radical and often violent action. The plays would be very dull if everyone was cautious and careful.
