Hellhounds, Medusa, and Hades (technically, he is not a monster, he is a god)
In "Clash of the Titans," Perseus' atonement with his father, Zeus, involves accepting his divine heritage and embracing his role as a hero. Initially resentful of his godly lineage and the burdens it brings, Perseus ultimately realizes that he must confront his destiny to save both humanity and the gods. By uniting the strengths of his mortal and divine sides, he reconciles with Zeus, demonstrating that he can be both a son of a god and a protector of mankind. This acceptance empowers him to face formidable challenges, including the Kraken.
They both care about the people in their companies. They both face challenges from the gods. They are both born leaders and they both win in the end.
One of the main dangers that Perseus faced was the gorgon, Medusa.
In the Percy Jackson series, Percy and his friends face various monsters including minotaurs, hellhounds, medusa, chimera, cyclopes, and harpies. These monsters are usually sent by the Greek gods or other enemies to thwart Percy's quests.

Face-down monsters are indeed monsters for the purposes of cards which count monsters on the field or affect all monsters. However, if a card effect specifies a monster with a specific type, attribute, ATK, etc., it will ignore face-down monsters because those values are unknown in game terms.Note: monsters used as Equip cards are not considered monsters.
The Atlas mountains are a range in north west africa, these days stretching over a territory which includes Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia. In Greek myth Atlas was one of the Titans (earth-born giants) who attempted to overthrow the gods in a prehistoric battle called the titanomachy. When the titans were defeated Atlas was condemned to stand at the end of the earth (the north-west African coast was the end of the known world to the ancient Greek) holding up the sky. Atlas later quarreled with Perseus, and Perseus turned Atlas into a rock (the Atlas mountains) by waving the head of the Medusa in his face.
