The allusion to "Chasing Lincoln's Killer" is found on page 20 of the book "The Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson. It references the historical event of Abraham Lincoln's assassination and the subsequent hunt for his murderer, John Wilkes Booth.

I don't know what page it would be in your book (in mine it's on page 82), but the grandpa character describes Washington DC as "Sodom and Gommorah," which is a Biblical allusion.
The lady lives
One allusion in "To Kill a Mockingbird" is the reference to Mrs. Dubose as a "morphine addict," which alludes to her struggle with addiction. This can be found on page 109 of the book.

You cant wake up sometimes because maybe someone or something is trying to tell you something by giving you a message that you must know From comments on the Discussion page, this dream involves a killer chasing the dreamer. Usually, chase dreams are about problems the dreamer is avoiding. The dream presents a literal picture of the dreamer running away from the problem. In this dream, the "killer" is an exaggerated metaphor for some problem in real life. Again, on the Discussion page, the dreamer describes being lucid in the dream and deciding to let the killer complete the murder in order to wake up, which is what happened. A better solution, since the dreamer is able to make decisions within the dream, would be to stop running, confront the "killer" and demand to know what/whom the killer represents. Then the dreamer could choose to shrink the "killer" down to a non-threatening size and kick it away. Ultimately, the dreamer needs to figure out what the "killer" represents and stop avoiding that problem in real life.
a metaphor, allusion and an overstatement i hope that helped :)
