For me the climax of any story is probably the best part. It is what the entire story builds up to, and if the author is skilled he or she can make the reader not want to put the book down. But equally important are the resolution and the denouement -- if a book doesn't end well, it leaves a sour taste in the reader's mouth, and they are less likely to read any more works by the author.
The most intense part of a story is typically referred to as the climax. This is the point where the conflict reaches its peak and the outcome of the story is determined.

I think it is the most important part of the writing. The Climax is the point in the story where the main character's point of view changes, or the most exciting/action filled part of the story.
The most interesting part of a story can vary depending on personal interpretation, but commonly it is the climax or turning point where the main conflict is resolved or the plot takes an unexpected turn. This is typically the part that keeps the reader engaged and eager to see how the story unfolds.
