Just draw an emoticon like =), =, or =D. Do NOT draw anything like this: =( :( :) >=) >:) etc.

Next write something like HAGS (Have A Great Summer), HAKAS (Have A Kick A** Summer), KATS (Kick A** This Summer), etc. Usually, you shouldn't spell it out because they will think you think they don't know what it means or they will feel you are taking up too much space in their book.
