Victor's dreams of a beautiful, perfect, humanlike creature were destroyed-- and, in some aspects, that is one of the things that makes the creature so hideous. The drop from beautiful to hideous is one that tears Victor emotionally in two. That being said, the physical features that make Victor's creature so horrifying are the yellowish, waxy appearance of his skin, the "dun", watery texture and color of his eyes, and (although it is not mentioned in the book but can be assumed by the fact that Victor pieced his creation together from human body parts) the uneven, mutilated look of his skin caused by the stitches. His facial muscles probably suffer from the fact that his face is made up of several pieces sewn together, causing the creature's expressions to be compromised.

That's not a specific detail, but those are the MAIN details that cause Victor to be so rash in his decisions to run away.
