An owl kills a hawk and two of Duncan's royal horses attack and eat each other. These are unnatural events, and Shakespeare is trying to portray that murder is is unnatural, by including these unnatural events on that same fateful night.
She didn't want to kill him herself, because she said Duncan looked like her dad while he slept. She did have Macbeth murder Duncan nonetheless
If you are in a murder trial, you would probably ask like where they were on the night of the murder, did you see anyone else commit the murder, things like that.
