This is such a wonderfully complex story that there are many ways to answer. I have a feeling this question is meant to answer a school question for someone who doesn't want to read the story, but that's OK. The title suggests to me that the grandmother has this gigantic image of what makes a person of quality, and yet her own son is a dishrag of a man and her grandson is a brat. The good man in this story, in spite of her prejudices, is the Misfit. In the end, the grandmother sees it but too late. His line, something like "She'd have been a good woman if there was someone there to shoot her every day" shows us everyone has his/her own prejudice about what constitutes "good."
