Charles Dickens wrote many books, and most of them were related in some way. For example, two of Charles Dickens books, Oliver Twist, and Great Expectations both portray the main character (Pip from Great Expectations and Oliver from Oliver Twist) as orphans. Dickens wrote tales of love, honesty, and even taught readers how greed and selfishness can be a horrible thing. Getting his ideas partly from his own expirience, he wrote novels like Great Expectations with heart-wrenching love stories and Oliver Twist and David Copperfieldwith stories of how life isn't always fair. He wrote novels of many varieties, and most became one-of-a-kind and loved favorites.
Charles Dickens grew up in the centre of London and lived there with his Parents and his 2 sisters and 1 brother, when Charles was young his dad showed him a house and when he was older and married he could live in it.
The hero, or protagonist, of Great Expectations is Pip, a male who ranges from 7 to 23 years of age during the main stages of his expectations. He appears as a 34 year old in the final chapter of the novel, and is also acting as the narrator, although the narrator is much older than the Pip being narrated.
Pip, the protagonist of Charles Dickens' novel "Great Expectations," lives in the marsh country of southeast England. His home is the forge belonging to his brother-in-law, Joe Gargery, in the village of Kent. Later in the story, Pip moves to London and resides in a modest apartment.
