A complication in the story "Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" occurs when the cobras Nag and Nagaina hatch a plan to kill the human family and take over the garden. Rikki-Tikki, the mongoose, must thwart their scheme in order to protect the family.
"Rikki-Tikki-Tavi" is a short story from Rudyard Kipling's "The Jungle Book". It follows the adventures of a young mongoose named Rikki-Tikki-Tavi who protects his adoptive human family from two dangerous cobras, Nag and Nagaina. Through his bravery and quick thinking, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi successfully defeats the snakes and ensures the safety of the family.
The climax is when he enters the hole of Nagaina and comes out alive and proud.
The three most important events in Rikki-tikki-tavi are...1)A young mongoose is washed out of his burrow by a flood and is subsequently rescued and adopted by Teddy's family2) Rikki-tikki meets the two King Cobras, Nag & Nagaina3) Rikki-tikki wins the "Great War" by killing Nagaina & destroying her last egg.
When Nag dies Nagina slithers into Teddy's house and threatens to kill Teddy. Just then Rikki-Tikki-Tavi comes bounding in with Nagina's last egg. Seeing the egg in Rikki's mouth she pleads to let her take the egg and never return to the garden. But Rikki knowing how tricky snakes can be he puts the egg outside the house on the porch. Then he runs around her like a hyper kangaroo saying "you can't catch me."
