Cecil Jacobs attacked atticus kids on their way home.
In court, Atticus raises his voice and exhibits a forceful demeanor that the kids do not see at home. He is assertive and confrontational when he questions witnesses and delivers his arguments, which contrasts with his usual calm and composed demeanor at home. Additionally, in court, Atticus displays his legal expertise and determination to fight for justice in a way that the children may not fully comprehend or appreciate.
He wanted to go home the short way
Well, yes, it could have been prevented, but not in a way that would have satisfied Atticus. When you anger Borris Ewell, it is impossible to escape his vengeance. Atticus couldn't have prevented the attack after the trial, and while it is true that Atticus wasn't prepared despite warnings, the attack still would have have happened anyway. The only way would have been to forget the idea. Don't defend Tom Robinson is the only way. Don't care about the trail, and if you you do, at least give the town the impression that you don't. This is wrong, and the point of the story is that Atticus would do what is right, despite the cost, and at the very end the cost was his children being attacked. So there was a way, but a rather unsavory one.
Not 100% sure who said it (think it was Scout), I think it went something like this, "Atticus acts the same way he does on the streets as he does at home"
Atticus is asserting that they have created a home for their family and they should accept and deal with any challenges that come with it. He believes that since they have made the home their own, they must face the reality of any difficulties that arise within it.
Your kids are home schooled, It made you secure for your kids at home. This is a wonderful way to stay close to your kids while teaching them to become well-rounded adults.
this means that atticus treats the kids the way he would like to be treated, wich is with self respect and dicipline, at all times. In side the house and out side the house. This connects to the golden rule theme wich is to reat othes the way you would like to be treated. Just like atticus treats his children the same way he would like to be treated.
Francis called Atticus a nigger-lover, and said he's raising his kids the wrong way, letting them go wild and such, and that he's ruining the family.
when atticus walked down the aisle, everybody made way for him.
