Actually, since Romeo and Juliet is a play, they look exactly like whatever actor and actress are playing them at the time. There have been blonde Juliets, brunette Juliets, redhead Juliets, Japanese Juliets, African Juliets and male Juliets. Likewise Romeos come in all colours and both sexes. The most famous American Romeo of the 19th century was a woman, Charlotte Cushman. The play gives no indication whatsoever about how they should look.
From the conversation between Benvolio and Romeo's parents, we learn that Romeo is acting melancholic and isolating himself from his family and friends. He is described as spending time alone in his room, refusing to participate in social activities, and exhibiting signs of unrequited love or heartbreak. Overall, Romeo's behavior is characterized by emotional turmoil and withdrawal from his usual social interactions.
Romeos was created in 1989-03.
Many many actors have played the leads in this play. Some famous Romeos were Richard Burbage, Charlotte Cushman, Laurence Olivier and John Gielgud. Famous Juliets include Ellen Terry and Peggy Ashcroft.
Ethel's Romeos was created in 1915.
