Who is Matilda in Alice in Wonderland?

She appears in the book in the Dormouse's story about the three sisters who lived in a treacle well. She is Tillie, Alice is Lacie (an anagram) and Lorina is Elsie (after her first two initials - LC for Lorina Charlotte.)
