Kiche does not bite the Indians because she originally lived with the Indians. Her mother is a dog, but her father is a wolf. Gray Beaver's brother tied out Kiche's mother during the 3 months of mating (i think he was trying to keep her from getting babies), but a wolf ended up mating with her. Somewhere after she started living in the village, Kiche must have gone back into the wild (for some strange reason...) and lived with the wolves. It must have been her instinct to go to the Wild since she is half Wild and half domesticated. Gray Beaver and his brother were two people she must have been friends with while she was in the village. Kiche probably wanted to go back to her home and safety instead of going to the Wild which no longer had anything to go back to (since her pack was gone, and mate killed). She chose safety over freedom and treated the Indians kindly so she could live in the village again. She must have had a deep bond with Gray Beaver and the Indians.
