Panterleon "Pan"
Will doesn't have a daemon because he comes from our world where people do not have them. When he enters Lyra's world, he still doesn't develop a daemon because it's not a natural part of his world. His meeting with his father in Lyra's world does not trigger the manifestation of a daemon for him.
Lyra's daemon settles as a Pine Marten (looks sort of like a ferret). Will's settles as a cat.
In the book "Northern Lights" by Philip Pullman, Lyra's daemon is named Pantalaimon, also known as Pan. Pan frequently shape-shifts into different animal forms and serves as a physical representation of Lyra's emotions and conscience.
Pan will be a pine-marten when Will (Lyra's lover) pats him and Will's daemon will be a cat (Kirjava) when Lyra pats her. For more info about that read the Amber Spyglass, the last book of the (best series of all time) His Dark Materials trilogy!
Lyra's daemon at first can take the shape of any animal including mythical animals like a dragon. In her world all childrens daemons can change shape until they start puberty when the daemon stays the same shape. Lyra's daemon takes the shape of a Pine Marten at the end of the series.
Umm there are lots but the main one is called Pantalaimon who is Lyra's daemon! She nicknames him Pan andd he ends up as a pine-marten.
Lyra's best friend would probably be her daemon, Pantalaimon.
Lyra's daemon, Pantalaimon, takes the form of a ferret to reflect her curious, playful, and adventurous nature. Ferrets are known for their inquisitive behavior and agility, symbolizing Lyra's desire for exploration and her resourcefulness in navigating challenges. Additionally, the choice of a ferret highlights the close bond between Lyra and Pantalaimon, as both share a lively spirit and a strong emotional connection.
Lyra's daemon's name is Pantalaimon, but Lyra calls him "Pan" as a nickname. In the movie, Pantalaimon usually takes the form of a mouse, a moth, or an ermine. In the movie "The Golden Compass," Lyra's daemon is still has still not settled. By this, it means that Pan can still change shape to look like any animal he likes. In this movie, Lyra hasn't hit puberty yet, which is usually about the time where people's daemons stay as one animal for the rest of their lives. Daemons are actually real in our world, but they live inside of us as our souls. Everyone has one. They are that voice in our heads that tells us to do our homework when we're goofing around, or the voice that says, "You idiot! What were you thinking?!" when you do something stupid. They are our guardian angels, our guides through life. I will list two sites that have helped me find my daemon. Both sites have changed my life for the better, and are most certainly worth reading. See them in related links.
A daemon cannot be won, or transferred from one person to another. The people of Lyra's world are born with daemons.
At the end of the third book, "The Amber Spyglass," Lyra's daemon, Pantalaimon's final form is an European pine marten
Some of the daemon names in "The Amber Spyglass" are Pantalaimon (Pan) for Lyra, Kirjava for Will, and No-Name for Mrs. Coulter. Each human character in Philip Pullman's "His Dark Materials" trilogy has a daemon companion that represents their soul.
