he thinks that books should be destroyed because they are useless. His wife dies and it was a hard time or him so he turned to books but he found they were useless to me, so he wanted to destroy all books.
Beatty thinks that there is no use for the books. He had just lost his wife and was going through tough troubles dealing with it. He turned to the books, but they were empty to him. He didn't find anything usefull so he wanted to burn them all.
That would be natural to have some affinity for Captain Beatty of Ray Bradbury's novel "Fahrenheit 451" .
Captain Beatty believes that to keep a man from being unhappy politically, you should allow him to have enough ways to satisfy himself. This would involve not challenging his beliefs or making him feel uncomfortable about his political opinions.
Captain Beatty told Montag that firemen had always been responsible for burning books, even before the current society was established. This lie was used to manipulate Montag into believing that their society had always been built on censorship and book burning.
Captain Beatty did this to Montag in order to get Montag back into the spirit of being a fireman so that Montag would believe the things that he used to believe as a fireman like how books are not important and should be burned because it is fun to burn things. Beatty also forced Montag as a punishment for hiding books.
Montag is visited by his teenage neighbor, Clarisse McClellan, who questions his beliefs and introduces him to new ideas that challenge society's norms. Additionally, he is visited by Captain Beatty, his fire chief, who confronts him about his growing curiosity and suggests he should conform to the rules of their society.
because if you have a good teacher like OSFC's 'Derek Beatty'
The answer is: "Trust should never be destroyed."
Captain Beatty has not been punished because he is the captain responsible for keeping the other firemen on their feet so they won't question. Throughout the book he quotes lines from famous books and then tells the men that it's useless. He does this to show his authority and so that the men look up to him without question. Beatty tells the firemen that books are depressing which is why they must burn them to keep society "happy". When one of them does question, Beatty goes to Montag's house and goes on and on about why books should be burned, again showing his authority and intelligence so that Montag accepts his views towards books. Beatty must know books to explain their "unimportance" and "wickedness" to the men. If it weren't for him, the men would go off and read books and the society would be "chaotic". We don't want that now, do we? We aren't sure, but Beatty may not be so contemt with the books. It could be his job that causes him to speak about books that way. It is argued that his death was suicide when he kept urging Montag to kill him by saying, "You won't really do it. Put the gun down," or something along those lines. Perhaps he was as unhappy as Montag and he was sick and tired of the whole thing. Perhaps he knew Montag had the courage to kill him, and that was really what he wanted rather than living the rest of his life unhappy and criticizing books.
No, I don't believe that Frax of "Power Rangers Time Force" deserved to be destroyed in the 3-part finale of Time Force, he definitely showed goodness inside of him especially because of the fact that he was a human inside of a robot body so I do believe Frax should have turned good instead of being destroyed.
Karl Marx believed that capitalism should be destroyed because he felt that it would lead to the exploitation of the Proletarians (the have-nots) by the Bourgeoisie (the haves). Karl Marx was a socialist. Needless to say, I think he was right.
