George answers all the questions directed to Lennie because Lennie has a mental disability that affects his ability to communicate and understand social cues. George feels responsible for looking out for Lennie and often acts as his protector and advocate in social situations. Additionally, George has a close bond with Lennie and helps him navigate the world.
Goerge answers all the questions directed towards Lennie because Lennie is mentally challenged and for Lennie to be able to work at the ranch he must not show the boss that hes mentally challenged so George answers the questions asked by the boss and others to mask Lennie and leave hm to be seen and understood as a hard and strong worker.
The boss is suspicious of Lennie and George because migrating workers never travel together. And because during the whole dialogue George never allows Lennie to answer questions directed towards him.

The boss is like a little stocky man. He is suspicious of the bond between George and Lennie, and also question this friendship. However, George and Lennie do not argue with the boss in case of loosing their job.
Lennie says he will go live in a cave if George gets fed up with him and does not want him around anymore.
George realized that his actions were hurting Lennie's feelings and damaging their friendship. He decided to stop playing dirty tricks on Lennie because he cared about him and wanted to maintain a positive and trustworthy relationship.
Lennie is george's friend and he helps to make George a better person in a way. Though in the book Curly hints that they are in a sexual relationship; that isn't it at all. They are just FRIENDS.
When George gets angry with Lennie for causing trouble, he threatens to go to a place where Lennie won't be able to find him and live an easier life without the burden of taking care of him.
The incident that caused Lennie and George is to leave their last place of work was all because of Lennie. Lennie got into trouble for touching a woman's dress and he didn't let go even though the woman was screaming.
George didn't want Lennie to have a mouse because Lennie often pets animals too roughly, unintentionally causing harm. Additionally, George believed that having a mouse would contribute to Lennie's habit of getting into trouble and causing problems.
George says it is okay for Lennie to talk to Curley's wife when they are all in the same room together and can be seen by others to avoid any misunderstandings or trouble.
Lennie sees a hallucination of his Aunt Clara scolding him for making George mad and reminding him about all the trouble he causes. The hallucination keeps repeating the same scolding phrases to Lennie, causing him distress.
