Slim says " I would of had to drown them anyways."
Slim has given Lennie one of his new puppies at the beginning of the chapter. Slim thought Lennie would appreciate having a puppy of his own to take care of.
because he thought that if the boss found out about lennie's mental disability then they would not be given jobs
he said he would drown it because there were to many for the bitch (female dog) to handle.
because he doesn't trust Lennie for it, he thinks that Lennie would lose it.
George told Lennie's Aunt Clara he would for herGeorge tells the people at the ranch that Lennie is his cousinGeorge claims that Lennie is his cousin
He's afriad that they would lose their job if The Boss knew about Lennie. The Boss would think Lennie would be some useless person that he's paying for nothing. That is why George emphasizes on how strong he is, because Lennie is very strong. And would be helpful to work. George had said they were cousins because The Boss was thinking that George had been bringing Lennie around to jobs, secretly stealing Lennie's money; Tricking his older bosses. Though George would never do this; He needed Lennie and Lennie needed him.
because to lennie his jokes didnt have an end. like it was serious to him, he would do what george would tell him to do even if it able to kill him
because Lennie managed to stop then, but what would happen if he didnt? could it happen again without lennie stopping him?what would happen?
No one did George killed Lennie before curly and his "pack" found him. if Curlyfound him first there would have been a high possibility of Lennie beingtormented.
george deserves a lenient sentence for killing Lennie because if George hsd not killed Lennie, Lennie would have gone to jail and it is pretty obvious that Lennie would not be able to coup in jail therefore Lennie is killed so, he is not sent to jail.

Although George is morally wrong, he shot Lennie because he cared about him, and to save him from a society that misunderstood him. Earlier in the story, Candy's dog died after Carlson shot it, and Candy said 'I ought to of shot that dog myself'. So George knew if he didn't shoot Lennie himself he would regret it later, as Candy had. George made Lennie think about their dream ranch, so he died with happy thoughts. If Curley had killed him, he would have died in fear.
