Dill is interested will boo radley because of the danger and mystery associated with him. He is new to Maycomb, and doesn't know much about it.
Charles Baker Harris (Dill), who visits his aunt Rachel every summer in Maycomb came up with the idea of getting Boo Radley out of his house. Scout, Dill, and Jem try to do this with several different strategies.
Jem and Dill begin to exclude Scout, who seeks refuge in the company of another neighbor, Miss Maudie Atkinson.

DILL
From the book: "Why do you reckon Boo Radley's never run off?" Dill sighed a long ligh and turned away from me. "Maybe he doesn't have anywhere to run off to..." Scout: "Why do you reckon Boo Radley never ran off?" Dill: "Maybe he doesn't have anywhere to run off to..."
Dill believes that Boo Radley has not run away from his home because he is not crazy, but simply chooses to stay inside to avoid the cruel world outside. Dill thinks that Boo stays to protect those he cares about.
Dill, Scout, and Jem frequently like to play the "Boo Radley" game, where they reenact stories and legends about their reclusive neighbor, Boo Radley.
Dill says that Boo Radley has never run off because Boo is rarely seen outside of his house and has a reclusive nature, leading people to believe he does not leave his home. This adds to the mysterious and intriguing reputation that Boo has in the community.
dill did, it's mentioned right in the beginning on the first page "..., when Dill first gave us the idea of making Boo Radley come out"

I think both Boo and Dill have unstable backgrounds in the sense that the book doesn't explain much about them and their families. Both Boo and Dill (I'm just brainstorming here) want someone to love. I think this because Boo riskes alot to connect with Jem and Scout. Dill runs away because his new family doesn't show interest in him. They give him everything you can but but what he wants is love.
