Why was money made?

Money was made because before money they would bargain and trade with what each person needed like the baker needed fish to feed his family and the fisherman needed bread to feed his family so they would get together and trade. But the problem was that this currencey wasn't worth while so they came up with using gold and silver to buy with so when you needed something you would grab your hunk of gold and buy something. Since it was so tiring to carry around hunks of gold they came up with coins but if you were going to the market with your coins in your pocket anyone could here you had money and could rob you so they came up with paper money.
