yes, but there are earned income limits that may prevent you from deducting a Traditional IRA on your taxes if you were covered by a 401(k) As discussed here - http://www.savingtoinvest.com/2011/07/contributing-to-an-ira-and-roth-ira-if-you-already-have-a-401k.html - you can contribute to both (limits are different) based on income levels and meeting eligiblity rules.

Provided you meet the compensation requirements and the income limitations for each type of IRA, you may contribute to both a Roth and a regular IRA. However, the combined amount may never exceed $5,000 (or $6,000 if you are 50 or older). Therefore, should a 45-year old be eligible and choose to contribute $3,500 to his Roth IRA, the most he could contribute to a regular IRA for the same tax year is $1,500.

No, you cannot contribute to both a Simple IRA and a Traditional IRA in the same year. You must choose one type of IRA to contribute to for that tax year.
Yes, it is possible to both contribute to and withdraw funds from a 529 plan in the same year, but there are rules and limitations to consider.
A Roth IRA has the same rules as a traditional IRA with a few notable exceptions. Contributions to a Roth IRA are not tax-deductible as contributions to a traditional IRA. A person can only contribute up to a certain amount to the IRA each year and there is a maximum income limit. If a person earns more than the limit, she can contribute to a traditional IRA but not the RothContribution LimitsIf a person has an adjusted gross income that is less than $122,000 in 2011, she can contribute up to $5,000 to a Roth IRA. People who are married and file jointly can earn up to $177,000 in 2011 and still contribute to a Roth IRA. She can only contribute money she earns during the year. For example, if her income is $3,500, she can only contribute $3,500 to her IRA. If a person is over age 50, she contribute an extra $1,000 to her IRA each year, for a total of $6,000.The $5,000 limit is the total combined for all the IRAs a person may have. For example, if someone has a Roth and traditional IRA, she may only contribute up to $5,000 total to the accounts, not $5,000 to each account. Married couples can contribute $5,000 each.TaxesUnlike a traditional IRA, the contributions to a Roth IRA are no tax-deductible in the year they are contributed. This has several benefits. When it is time to withdraw the money from a traditional IRA, a person will have to pay tax on the earnings and on the original amount. When it is time to take a withdrawal from a Roth IRA, no taxes are due on the money, for both original contributions and any earnings. Not owing taxes in retirement is beneficial if a person expects that they will be in a higher tax bracket during their retirement years.Other RulesPeople usually need to wait until they are age 59 1/2 before they can withdraw from a Roth IRA. There are a number of exceptions to this rule. For example, a person can use the money in an IRA to purchase their first home. Unlike traditional IRAs, a person can leave the money in the account indefinitely and does not need to begin taking distributions at age 70 1/2.
If you are opening a new Roth at another firm and transferring this account into it, then the answer is no since the new account take on the life span of the previous account. If you are opening another Roth at the same firm that you have the previous one, then yes. Alos, there is no real reason to open a new Roth at the same form for the contribution limit total is is the same for both accounts.
I have purchased beads from both Pandora and Roth Royale. The differences to me are 1) Price 2) Quality and 3) Accessibility. For price, Roth Royale offers beads for lot less money overall. For example, the same quality glass bead costs $40-70 at Pandora while it costs $7-10 at Roth Royale. For quality, I can only compare gold, silver and glass charms since they both have other unique materials. I think glass beads at both places are pretty much the same quality. I asked Roth Royale about their silver charms and they said they now have all silver charms in solid sterling silver instead of plated silver, so silver charms at both places are the same quality. When it comes to gold, Pandora has solid gold charms ranging $90-$850 while Roth Royale has plated gold charms around $18. I guess it totally depends on if you want solid gold or plated gold, and how much you wanna pay for one charm. For accessibility, Pandora only has actual stores and Roth Royale only has online shopping.
