Depending on your relationship with a bank they will give you credit for a certain dollar amount of any check you deposit regardless of where it is drawn from. The longer and better your relationship with the bank the more they will clear overnight. There are also fenderal regulations around time frames for clearing checks. The rest of the check may not clear for a few more business days.
