It should have a portrait of Benjamin Franklin in the center of the bill. If you're referring to the watermark of Franklin, that wasn't added until series 1996.
The Series 1996 $20 U.S. bill features a portrait of Andrew Jackson on the front and the White House on the back. It was part of the redesign that included several anti-counterfeiting measures, such as a watermark and security thread. This series was issued before the more significant redesign in 2003, which introduced brighter colors and new features. While still legal tender, the Series 1996 notes may be less commonly seen due to the introduction of newer versions.
There were no series letters on 1990 $100 bills. You may be looking at a plate-position marker or some other security feature. In any case, except for uncirculated bills and those with printing errors, all modern-date $100 bills are worth only face value.
The chances of a no sweep in the upcoming playoff series are high, as it is uncommon for one team to win every game in a series.
In the 1950s, there were several different series of 10 dollar bills issued by the treasury. The series range from A through E, and have different values depending upon the series. For a series A 10 dollar bill, the value online is between 45 and 100 dollars, depending upon condition.
I believe the watermark began on the 1990 series so no 1988 was still too old.

Counterfeit detector pens typically work on paper-based currencies, so they may not work efficiently on older series of bills like the 1950 series. It is recommended to use other methods or consult with an expert to verify the authenticity of such bills.
A watermark is a word, or series of words, (do not copy, property of, etc) overlaid in such a way as to make reuse of a copyrighted work more difficult. A copyright notice is intended to to demonstrate ownership of a particular work, that it is protected by copyright, and when that protection began.
