The definition of an entreprenuer (from someone who has started several business and created many jobs) is:
An entrepreneur is someone who has assets (see def. below) and is willing to convert them into cash or leverage them in some way at a bank, put his "chips" in the middle of the table and tell the dealer to deal the cards.

He/She had better have a good business plan which is the essence of Marketing (I don't have time to explain THAT to someone who doesn't understand the width and depth of that skill).

Assets: Some property (not necessarily real estate), precious metals, valuable art, valuable goods or cash that is left over from a prior endeavor after the state and federal governments have taken their share of his profits.

P.S. Every now and then someone will inherit assets and go through the same exercise but without a good business plan etc. they have a greater chance of failure since they're playing" with someone else's chips. Hence there IS a substantial difference between the intellectual understanding of NET profit, and an emotional understanding

An "employee" is a BENEFICIARY of the Entrepreneur's efforts!

How are employees and entrepreneurs different?

Employees typically work for an organization, following established guidelines and reporting to supervisors, with their compensation often tied to a fixed salary or hourly wage. In contrast, entrepreneurs create and run their own businesses, taking on the risks and rewards associated with their ventures. While employees may prioritize job stability and benefits, entrepreneurs often seek innovation and growth opportunities, embracing uncertainty in pursuit of their vision. Ultimately, the key difference lies in their roles and responsibilities within the economic landscape.

How do entrepreneurs differ from labor or members of the workforce?

Entrepreneurs differ from members of the workforce primarily in their role and mindset. While workers typically execute tasks and contribute to established organizations, entrepreneurs take on the risks and responsibilities of creating and managing new ventures. They focus on innovation, identifying opportunities, and driving business growth, often with a vision for disrupting markets. This proactive approach contrasts with the more reactive nature of typical employment, where individuals usually follow set guidelines and routines.

Is it true that all entrepreneurs are small business owners?

No! Entrepreneurs come in all sizes and shapes from Architect employees to Zebra herders (might as well have some humor). Entrepreneurs have a definition that is related to their wealth and success not how they got it. Though their are some rules to how they got it (you can't rob a bank) but other than that small rule you probably pass hundreds of them in your everyday life. (they aren't as exclusive as your TV says)
