The most direct way to find out if your credit card is valid is to try to use the card for a purchase that you were planning to make. If the purchase goes through, there is very high likelihood that the card is valid (some cards are on fraud watchlists and they may be turned off after one or two charges).
The safer way is to call the number on the back of your card and ask the issuing company if you can still use the card (you will need to provide answers to security questions that only you know in order to get such information).
you will die :)
I just tried charging a credit card that starts with 4388 and was told it's not a valid credit card number.....
To cancel a charge on your credit card, you should contact your credit card company's customer service department and request a chargeback. Provide details about the transaction and explain why you are disputing the charge. The credit card company will investigate the issue and may issue a refund if they find the dispute valid.

You can find out your credit card interest rate by checking your monthly credit card statement or by contacting your credit card issuer directly.
In order to know whether or not the credit card number is valid, one should check out from the bank of the credit card, or using the card at an ATM machine.

Most credit cards I know of have a 16-digit number. It will often be divided into groups of 4 on the card, but this is mostly for readability. I hope this question isn't an attempt to get someone to provide you with a valid credit card number.

That phrase: "Not valid unless signed," is a credit card company requirement, NOT a legal requirement. Believe me, they will tkae you to court and make you prove that it is not your signature on the credit card slips.
