I'm not sure the exact amount, but from what I've been reading it's a good idea to caluclate what your monthly expenditures will be, and then make sure you have enough saved up to cover at least 3 months (in case of emergencies) spending without any income. In addition to this, you may want to say up enough for the initial moving costs (ie: if renting, the deposit and 1st month's rent, furniture costs etc.). I'm in the same boat now, and it takes patience, but in order to do it right, and not be squeezed for money right after, you've gotta save an adequate amount first.. good luck!

If the parents have paid for the wedding and reception and the wedding is canceled and the bride does not have the funds to pay her parents back for the expense then unfortunately the parents are stuck with the bill. If the bride can afford it then yes, she should offer to pay it back. The parents may decide not to take the money or they may be happy to receive it. If the parents gave the bride and groom money before the wedding to put towards a honeymoon; towards a house, etc., then yes, the check or money should be given back to the parents.
Ask your parents if you can clean the house, mow the lawn, or fix some thing for them to earn some money!!!!
Ask your parents for an allowance if you do chores around the house.
You can do as much as you can to make your parents happier. I know this a little info, but when you see the smile on your parents' faces, you will keep on moving! ;D

The amount of money one should put away when they sell their house for moving costs depends on how long the distance is from house to house. The average amount put away is about $15 per car, plus a moving truck if used.
