Bit of an ambigious question. The reality is it depends on the size of the gym, how many people come there, how good your customer service is and how much equipment you have. A small council sized gym with a few treadmills/cycling machines and weights with say 5 staff throughout the week will easily make a few hundered dollars (or pounds) profit if the membership per user range around $35 a month (£20 ish). The great thing is that gyms require little maintenance, just keep the machines clean, oiled and safe! Only overhead is to keep the place open and staffing costs.
