For a front end loader driver Colorado State requirements are:

Minimum qualifications of this position include:
21 years of age or older

Legally eligible to work in the United States

Valid Class A or B commercial drivers license with airbrake endorsement

At least 1 year of pervious experience operating a vehicle requiring a commercial driver's license (CDL)

Successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background and motor vehicle records check and Department of Transportation Physical.

Clear driving record

Ability to perform pushing, pulling, kneeing, bending, twisting and lifting up to 75 lbs throughout the shift with our without reasonable accommodations. As well as climb into and out of the truck repeatedly.


For a driver's helper there is only the Colorado State labor laws, I'd say at least 16 yrs old.

This is the description of the job:

Our laborers are responsible for assisting in the collection and hand loading of residential waste, as well as the transporting of this waste to a landfill site. They constantly lift, push, and pull waste bags and receptacles that weigh from 50 to 75 pounds as part of their daily routine. Often, these waste receptacles have no wheels or handles for maneuverability, and the laborer must have the physical strength to adjust accordingly. This physically strenuous position involves mounting and dismounting the truck step between 800 and 1000 times every shift. Our laborers communicate professionally with customers at all times.
