I called the toll-free provided in Instant Checkmate's website. The lady I spoke with said she would cancel my account, refund the charge and gave me a confirmation number.

Then I called my credit card company and explained the situation. The guy I spoke with said that if I did not get the refund by the 17th of this month, and if Instand Checkmate credited my account again, let them know. They will dispute the charge and take care of it for me.
