You will have to contact each of the three credit reporting agencies separately in order to dispute charges and false information on your credit report that does not belong to you.
Your credit report will still show those charge offs for some time, as well as the bankruptcy. You will see an improvement once the bankruptcy is discharged, but it will be slow. You'll need to pay everything on time going forward.
HI: My credit report had an address for sending a challenge letter. I think it was in real small print on one of the pages. Later, I looked on the web site of the credit company and there was a way to do it online. I really did not expect a positive result since we seem to have so little control over these credit reports. What a surprise many weeks later when I got a letter saying that the negative entry had been removed. I would try writing a letter to the company and explaining the mistake. In my case, a collection agency was sending me bills for an old dental bill that was not mine. I found out that they are required to send you documentation supporting their claim. I asked for documentation and they never sent it. Later, the unpaid bill appeared on my credit report. By the way, the government requires the big 3 credit report companies to provide us with a free annual credit report: https://www.annualcreditreport.com/cra/index.jsp Beware of websites that offer a free report if you sign up for a free trial of their credit protection. They wait until the free trial expires before sending the report and you end up paying for a month of 'protection'. Hope this helps.
YES AWESOME...so is mine!
Mine is bad and they approved it. Only got a $100 limit but when you constantly being denied credit, $100 is a lot of credit. If your credit is already bad, one more inquiry wont make a big difference. PS my EQ FICO is 477, Tu, 570, EX 550 or so... Good Luck
when i got mine it took about 5mins just went into the branch where you wanna get one and they will do it
If a bankruptcy is showing on your credit report that is not yours, you will need to contact all three bureaus [or the ones that are reporting as such] to dispute the bankruptcy as 'not yours'. Send your dispute, registered, return receipt requested.
shows up on mine
How old is it? Why don't you try disputing it with all 3 CRA's as "Not Mine or No knowledge of Account"
Check to see if all of the info they have for you is correct, previous addresses, names, ect. because they could have mixed your info with someone with the same name as you. You can get a free credit report from annualcreditreport.com and then you can dispute any info directly online through the credit bureau reporting agencies. Each agency is different in what is being reported so you will want to check all 3, Transunion, Experian, and Equifax. If you still have problems you can give them a call and press 0 on each option until they send you to an operator.
You can check it any time you want to - it won't affect your credit score. I, personally - check mine around the 1st of the month - after any credit card interest has been debited.
Believe it or not, the most common credit score falls between 750 and 799. You can find yours out by going online to credit report sites. They will usually charge a fee, but its worth knowing what your score is.
This really ain't an answer but mine was done that was also since I was the one that signed his medical papers at the hospital

A friend of mine tried to resolve the same matter after losing his job to economic cuts. He was unable to get anything accomplished with Ford Credit. They will not under any circumstances remove the strike on your credit report unless ordered to do so by law. You may try calling an attorney and see what they recommend.
