The banks charge the retailer a higher fee for each debit transactions than they do for a charge... Conversely, the banks encourage consumers to use debit cards for transactions because they make more in fees.
Yes and No. No they can not charge you if they personally gave/told you the debit pin. Yes if you found out the debit pin yourself and even if they know you worked it out they can still charge you. Yours Truly DR Pearce
I think every bank has a charge somewhere hidden in there, Chase I know has a yearly maintnence fee. Although some banks do charge a monthly fee if you do not use your card. I choose the yearly fee because even if I do not use my card for months my account is still the same price and not locked.
ADVANTAGES: If you loss your card and the person know your pin they can get your money out 24 hour access to your money. You can use your debit card almost anywhere. No monthly interest charges on your spending. They allow you to have ATM access. With debit card you carry lots of money but your pockets doesn't get heavy.
As far as I know, debit cards don't expire monthly. Mine hasn't
NO! Do not think that. It will get you into alot of debt. The amounts add up to the bill you get, and the credit card company will add more if you don't pay on time. A debit card is a much safer option. You put money into an account and you access it through the card, and the purchase amount is taken from the debit account. SO in using a credit card, you are using money you don't have, and in using a DEBIT card, you are using money you know you have. A MUCH safer option.
As long as you can use your debit card at stores just like credit cards are used, your debit card will work. Newegg won't know the difference between your debit card and a credit card.
It is a number that identifies a person and links them to their own account. If there were no debit card numbers we wouldn't know which person was buying what!

I don't know about itunes but, whenever I use my debit card, the money comes out immediatly
You'd have to get the card replaced if you could no longer read the CVV.

Yes you are charged by the place where you buy something and the bank you are using the card through. Before you go call your bank and let them know the dates and places because if you don't you won't be able to use it.

I'm not sure about ALL prepaid debit cards, but I know that if you buy a prepaid debit card from NetSpend, you can easily track all your purchases (deductions) online at any time. Check out the link below for more details on prepaid debit cards.

It means "Check Card Debit." When a "check card," or debit card, is used at an establishment and the cardholder's bank cannot access the name of the establishment, the statement will usually say something like "CKCD DEBIT," followed by the date and city of the point of sale.
