What will a person do whose PIN is a palindrome number (which reads same both ways), such as 1441 or 2332, or who has all identical digits in PIN such as 2222? How will he alert the police? Or will the police come to "nab the robber" every time he uses his ATM?
ATM SafetyPIN software is a software application that would allow users of automated teller machines (ATMs) to alert the police of a forced cash withdrawal by entering their personal identification number (PIN) in reverse order. The system was invented and patented by Illinois lawyer Joseph Zinghe. But this NEVER got implemented.
But, it does notify your bank and then you only have two chances left to enter your pin correctly otherwise you don't get your card back.
Get away from the thief. Notify the police and the bank as soon as you can.
If you withdrew money from the ATM but were unable to retrieve the money before it was retracted back into the ATM, you should: 1. Check your bank account to determine if you were even charged. Some ATMs will "know" if you did not take the money and it was pulled back into the ATM to reverse the withdrawal, in which case you would just need to start again. 2. If you were charged but did not receive the money, notify the bank whose ATM you were using, immediately, so they can record the date, time, and other pertinent information which will help their ATM department reconcile who the money belongs to, if necessary. Remember there are several redundant systems in use that will tell them if you are being honest or not. 3. If you were charged but did not receive your money, you will have to wait for the bank servicing the ATM to refund the money after conducting an investigation.
To deposit a check at an ATM, insert your ATM card, enter your PIN, select "Deposit," choose "Check Deposit," endorse the check, insert it into the designated slot, confirm the amount, and complete the transaction.
To transfer money from an ATM, you typically need to insert your debit card, enter your PIN, select the transfer option, choose the account you want to transfer money from, enter the recipient's account information, and confirm the transfer amount.
Insert the card Press ENTER twice (fast) Enter your new PIN number

You would enter its PIN number into an ATM. Both regular bank cards and debit cards work in an ATM. Debit cards tend to work in nearly any ATM.
The ATM machine will ask you to re-enter the right pin...and if you re -enter the wrong pin for more than three times than your debit would be blocked automatically...

Yes you can check your bank balance at the ATM. All you need is a valid ATM card and a PIN number. If you possess that, first insert the card into the machine and enter the PIN number. When the ATM asks you which transaction to perform - choose Balance Inquiry and the machine will display the balance for you.
