My ATM card was used at three stores totaling about $400 without my permission. The envelope was opened by someone and they used it without my knowledge until today and without my permission.
What can I do?
What will happen to the person who used it?
Can instantly get money from the bank, and don't have to write out a check. Having to pay a monthly withdraw fee, and someone can get your information from using the atm card.
When using a Woodforest debit card at an actual Woodforest ATM location there is no withdrawl fees. If someone uses their card at an ATM that is not Woodforest then they could be charged a fee depending on the ATM they use.
If your ATM card is blocked, call up customer care and explain the situation. They will reset the PIN number and send you a new PIN using which you can start using your ATM card. If your ATM card is stolen and you want to block it, call up customer care and explain them that your ATM card is stolen and they will block it for you.
what isn't the importance of an ATM card, im mean seriously, how else are you supposed to save money... you can't always carry cash. And once you get an ATM card, you can plant it and it will grow a money tree.
No, I just tried.
If you have lost your ATM card, you need to call you bank as soon as possible. You want to make sure that someone has not stolen your card and is using it illegally.

That depends on what you're using it for. If you're using it to obtain money from an account, or any other form of account access, it will not work. However, if you're using it as a bookmark, it will work just fine. You could also use it as a toothpick, a scraper, a putty knife, or as a ramp for a finger skateboard. However, you can do all of these things at some place other than an ATM, and the people waiting in line behind you would really appreciate it if you got out of their way so they could use the ATM, and their own ATM cards for the legitimatepurpose of withdrawing money from their own accounts. On second thought, there is one way you could use the stolen ATM card in your possession to obtain money from its actual owner's account. What you do is, you locate the nearest police officer and tell him that you stole this ATM card from someone, and would like his help in using it to access someone else's money. The police officer will be glad to help you out. Before he does, though, he will likely read you a series of statements about rights and attorneys and remaining silent and all that, then he'll ask if you "understand these rights". Say yes, then tell him again that you stole the ATM card and would like his help in using it to access someone else's money. The police officer will take care of you.

Yes, it is possible to withdraw cash from an ATM using a credit card, but it may incur additional fees and interest charges.
When you're using a generic ATM that's not linked to any bank. Or if you're using another bank's ATM that your card isn't associated with.
You cannot. This feature has been put in place to prevent unauthorized usage of ATM cards. Let us say you lose your ATM card and someone finds it, would you want them to go on a spending spree? They cant do that unless they know your ATM Pin which you must be keeping safely in your memory. So, the money in your account is safe. This is why you cannot make purchases without pin using ATM Cards.
Hand it into the Bank - if the ATM at a bank - or push it into the machine or take it to a police station.... or toss it in a bin.
