first collect a/c opening form from bank in which you want to open a/c(collect yourself or say to anyone your friend or relative on phone /message to collect a/c opening form anyone can collect from bank no any identification required.)then fill the form then search a person who has a/c in that bank (otherwise a/c will not open) then take sign. of that person and a/c no. on that form)then go to bank.

yourself with two passport photographs,attested photocopy of residence proof.if carry originals alongwith that is much better(because bank manager can attest your photocopy after looking your originals ) as(ration card or passport or electricity bill of your address (for more identification u can give any land line

mobile bill) , one who can identify you/introduce you who has account with that bank (introducer's signature is compulsory and his a/c no. is compulsory on your a/c opening form .carry minimam cash with you normally 500/-for Indian banks and 5000/- international banks.more many banks as citibank has more limits
