What if you paid off a contract and then three years later they come after you for more?

If the other party is claiming that you did not pay off the contract in full, then you need bank records showing that you did in fact pay the money off. Once you have these, let them know that they are mistaken.
If they still want to pursue the issue, they will likely have to take legal action and you will need to contact a lawyer.
