Macy's money are the coupons that employees get for opening new macy's credit accounts for customers or doing other 'good' things for the company- they are $3 off a $6 purchase, $5 off $10, $25 off $50, etc. You can save them and use as many as you'd like up to 50% off of your purchase after coupons are applied.

IMPROVED ANSWER

Macy Money is not given to sales staff for opening new credit accounts. Also, the amounts vary; for example, an employee might get $2 off a $4 purchase or some other combination.

Ummm it is given to employees when we open new Macy's card accounts with customers. :)

It's an incentive that the managers and executives use to encourage associates to spread MAGIC (opening credits, great customer service, helping out on the floor). Depending on the store, if you get a MAGIC card from a manager (any department can get it, LP, Recovery, Sales, Managers), you can be entered into a drawing to win Macy Money. It's great to spend on items that coupons don't work on (EDV, Designer merchandise, Watches, Cosmetics/Fragrences, etc.) A lot of associates at my store save them and use them up during F&F where you can save 25% for friends & family + your associate discount, then you can use the Macy Money to lower the price even more and enjoy even more savings!
