1922 is such a common date for silver dollars that the value is only for the silver content. With current silver prices, a '22 Peace dollar is worth about $21. To sell one, either take it to a coin dealer, or post it on eBay.

Assuming the coin is circulated and has no mintmark, the 1922 Peace dollar is the most common of them all in any grade. A circulated coin is only $36.00 to $40.00 retail.
It can't be a Morgan dollar because the last coins with that design were minted in 1921 It can't be from Carson City because that mint closed in 1893. Please check again and post a revised question.
The face value of any coin is simply the denomination it carries - in this case, $1. However a coin can have at least 2 other values, its metal value and its collector value. In the case of a 1922 silver dollar the metal value is about $10 as of 06/2009, and its collector value is around $14 or $15 depending on condition.
