What are the best debt consolidation programs?

With a debt consolidation loan, a company fronts you the money to pay off your debt (or a portion of your debt), so then your monthly debt payments get streamlined into the one loan payment. Your debt consolidation loan ideally has a lower interest rate so you can save on interest as you pay it off.

How do debt consolidation services work?

Most debt consolidation services work by consolidating your debt into one loan. The debt consolidation service will pay off all of your debt balances and then make a loan to you for the amount of your debt plus any service fees. Normally the consolidated loan will have a lower interest rate than your previous debt balances.

How close is the dinar to revalue?

Good question, Like all the other times we thought the revalue was near, it turned out not to be so, there was always something that delayed revalue, but with so many of these past obstacles finally resolved, it is looking real good at this point in time that we will all have a Merry Christmas. With last few pieces of this complicated puzzle finally coming together, and after nine plus months to get final parliament seated, unheard of delay for any other government, but in Iraq, the sectarian divide has delayed normal progress on all fronts. Is this political mess finally settled, looks to be, but as we have all seen in the past, something always gets in the way at the last minute. The positive side was that when parliament met, this is the first time all members appeared, not one was absent, a first. Is this the real tip off that the deal is done, in my seven years researching it, yes, this was the strongest signal of all that this decision is final with no more obstacles left. So my answer is yes, we will see the revalue on Christmas, but it might not be this Christmas. lol Just kidding, you have to laugh when it comes to Iraq, what I have learned over all these years following this is that these people in power are a joke, so they have learned well about democracy from the biggest jokes of all times, the U.S. politicians in power.

Swot analysis of Amazon?

Strengths. Amazon is a profitable organization. In 2005 profits for the three months to June dipped 32% to $52m (£29.9m) from $76m in the same period in 2004. Sales jumped 26% to $1.75bn. Until recent years Amazon was experiencing large losses, due to its huge initial set up costs. The recent dip is due to promotions that have offered reduced delivery costs to consumers. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and Information Technology (IT) support Amazon's business strategy. The company carefully records data on customer buyer behaviour. This enables them to offer to an individual specific items, or bundles of items, based upon preferences demonstrated through purchases or items visited. Amazon is a huge global brand. It is recognisable for two main reasons. It was one of the original dotcoms, and over the last decade it has developed a customer base of around 30 million people. It was an early exploiter of online technologies for e-commerce, which made it one of the first online retailers. It has built on nits early successes with books, and now has product categories that include electronics, toys and games, DIY and more. Weaknesses. As Amazon adds new categories to its business, it risks damaging its brand. Amazon is the number one retailer for books. Toy-R-Us is the number one retailers for toys and games. Imagine if Toys-R-Us began to sell books. This would confuse its consumers and endanger its brands. In the same way, many of the new categories, for example automotive, may prove to be too confusing for customers. The company may at some point need to reconsider its strategy of offering free shipping to customers. It is a fair strategy since one could visit a more local retailer, and pay no costs. However, it is rumoured that shipping costs could be up to $500m, and such a high figure would undoubtedly erode profits. Opportunities. The company is now increasingly cashing in on its credentials as an online retail pioneer by selling its expertise to major store groups. For example, British retailer Marks and Spencer announced a joint venture with Amazon to sell its products and service online. Other recent collaborations have been with Target, Toys-R-Us and the NBA. Amazon's new Luxembourg-based division aims to provide tailored services to retailers as a technology service provider in Europe. There are also opportunities for Amazon to build collaborations with the public sector. For example the company announced a deal with the British Library, London, in 2004. The benefit is that customers c an search for rare or antique books. The library's catalogue of published works is now on the Amazon website, meaning it has details of more than 2.5m books on the site. In 2004 Amazon moved into the Chinese market, by buying china's biggest online retailer, Joyo.com . The deal was reported to be worth around $75m (£40m). Joyo.com has many similarities to its new owner, in that it retails books, movies, toys, and music at discounted prices. Threats All successful Internet businesses attract competition. Since Amazon sells the same or similar products as high street retailers and other online businesses, it may become more and more difficult to differentiate the brand from its competitors. Amazon does have it s brand. It also has a huge range of products. Otherwise, price competition could damage the business. International competitors may also intrude upon Amazon as it expands. Those domestic (US-based) rivals unable to compete with Amazon in the US, may entrench overseas and compete with them on foreign fronts. Joint ventures, strategic alliances and mergers could see Amazon losing its top position in some markets. The products that Amazon sells tend to be bought as gifts, especially at Christmas. This means that there is an element of seasonality to the business. However, by trading in overseas markets in different cultures such seasonality may not be enduring.

Will going through a debt settlement and negotiation company hurt your credit?

Yes, if you do not follow through with it to the Letter! Chances are if you are in position to use this method of debt elimination, your credit is already shot. If you still have good credit, settlement is a silly option because it destroys the credit rating on two fronts. First, creditors won't consider settling with you until you are at least 90-120 days past due. This kills your payment history and drops your score way down. Second, the creditor can really stick it to you for the next 7 years based on the notation added upon completing settlement on the account. Anything other than "paid in full" is bad. "Paid as agreed" is not good, and "paid -- charge off" or "paid -- collections" are both really bad. Finally, anything with the word "settled" in it goes in your credit file as an "R-9" code, which is a half-step above bankruptcy. Future creditors will deem you an extreme risk. The trick is to negotiate with creditors just what language they will use in their final report -- and get it in writing before giving them any funds. Your credit report summarizes your track record for paying off credit accounts. Specifically, it displays information on any late payments or outstanding debts on these accounts. Any difficulty you have in making payments for your accounts will show up in your report and could negatively affect your score. Debt settlement is when a person enlists the help of a debt settlement agency to negotiate lower monthly payments with a creditor for which there is a large, outstanding debt. Needing debt settlement usually means a person is having difficulty managing credit accounts and debt. Because of this, debt settlement could look bad on a credit report and could possibly have a negative affect on a credit score. FYI: The credit reporting agency Equifax provides a helpful website with information on credit. It's written for the general public, so it's very easy to read. http://learn.equifax.com/
