This letter can be sent to a credit card company to cancel a refusal to pay order that you previously initiated.

Where appropriate, send a copy, not the original, of the statement and/or charge slip to the card Issuer. Keep copies of all correspondence with the Issuer, including copies of statements and charge slips. You may need to refer to them later or may need to send additional copies to the Issuer if you do not receive a prompt response to your inquiry.

Be Careful with Your Credit Card Number

Take care not to let others see or hear your credit card number. Most merchants now use carbonless credit slips. However, you should destroy any carbons and carefully dispose of statements and charge slips. Never give your card number over the telephone unless you initiated the transaction with a reputable company. If you have questions about a company, check with the local consumer protection office or Better Business Bureau before ordering.
