So you want to become a mermaid. Well, as you do know that mermaids don't exsist or no longer exsist, but this can mean nothing to the imagination. Good news for you, becoming a mermaid happens to be possible, but 3 easy steps aren't going to cover it. So okay, first of all you need to be a good swimmer (I mean actually great. A real swimmer that can hold there breath for at least 15 minutes but it's not nessesary.) Mermaids are excellent swimmers and can hold their breath for quite a bit of time. If you can't hold that as long and you want to improve, pratice in the bath tub or in your face bowl in the bathroom. You can always use a snorkel. It's dangerous to hold your breath for a long time. Movement ( wimming) and trying to hold your breath at the same time is different, but keep trying any way to keep your lungs in practice.

Mermaid swim differently, so feet and legs together moving in a snake-like motion (or like you're doing the worm basicly.) Practice in your pool if you have one.

It depends on lenght as well; ear-short, nape of the neck, sholder length, elbow lenght (longer). You can always decorate you hair buns with shells, flowers, and ribbons.

-Memaids love beautiful things that glitter and sparkel. Buy some pearls and gems. They don't have to be real of course. Wear shells and beachy jewelry, like stones and shark teeth anklets and bracelets. You can fing them at your local beach stores or you can make them yourself. Actually you can look anywhere at reasonable prices too.

-Act like a mermaid- sit on rocks at the beach, play in the water, hum a pretty tune or sing it ( hum it of you can sing that well. but practice singing for the long run) collect shells, and decorate your room with beautiful thing, stones, treasure chest and paint your walls a seagreen or sky blue, and furnature that a mermaid would love. you get the picture.

Do not change your diet, always wear sun block, and keep your hair healty. To be a mermaid is about being free and happy with your surroundings. Be romantice and flirty but keep it lady like. Be kind and friendly but not so perky, be kind of quiet and myserious like the sea. Play with your jewery a little bit, but don't fidgit your clothes or play with your hair.
