The Great white shark 'pup' is hatched from eggs while still within their mother's body. The term is 'ovoviviparous'. There's a definition link below...

So, after the hatching INSIDE, the pups are born alive- and hungry! The size of the litter may be from two to ten pups. After birth, there is NO maternal care. No wonder then, that they become such skilled predators, at the very top of the marine food chain.
