Can you feed a goldfish beta food?

You can, but it's not recommended for their everyday continuing diet. They should normally receive goldfish flakes or pellets, fresh vegetables such as peas, grated carrot, zucchini, and romaine lettuce, brine shrimp, krill, blood shrimp, and daphnia.

It is possible, except that it has never worked for me. Bettas are extremely picky creatures, and I doubt they will actually eat goldfish food. Feeding them on an entire diet of goldfish food is never recommended. I know that bettas won't eat anything from experience. One day I went to the petstore and bought a blue betta and a red betta and arrived home and put them into separate bowls (Or else they will attack each other.). Then I had a weird thought. I felt that I had forgotten something. I looked into the contents I had bought. Another live plant for my goldfish, two plastic plants to put in with the bettas that looked simple but pretty, another simple kit for testing your aquarium water, an extra box of aquarium salt....but then I remembered what I had forgotten to buy. The betta food! I was agitated and then I saw my goldfish pellets. I quickly settled in front of a computer and typed into Google "Can you feed Bettas goldfish food?" Gladly, it said yes, though for a major diet it is not recommended, However, I only needed to feed them the goldfish food for the day anyway, I didn't know that a day of fasting for a betta wasn't bad at all, and that some betta owners fast their bettas once a week on purpose to keep them healthier. I didn't take care of bettas for a long time. Anyway, I put a goldfish pellet for each of the bettas, expecting them to eat the pellet as vigorously as a goldfish. However, they just stared at the pellet as it sinked to the ground. The red betta ran towards the food, but then backed away, almost like it was backing away in disgust. I imagined it telling me, "Yuck! You expect me to eat this?" So, I fasted my bettas for the day, and then bought some freeze-dried bloodworms and tropical flakes. I put the flake in. The betta didn't really like it. It just kind of poked at it. But when I dropped a bloodworm in, wow, that is a total different story. It snatched at it so vigorously I was surprised! That was when I knew from experience that bettas literally love bloodworms! I don't have the heart to feed these carnivores live worms, though I am sure they would love that, too.
