no. they do not. there are other cichlids that do. Jack Dempsey cichlids have a v or u shaped head. (blue with different colored specks)
No
just your convict cichlids but, a jack would need a 55
That depends upon the species of sucker fish. There are several of them. I would not be putting anything other than similar sized Amazonian Cichlids in with Jack Dempseys. They are not 'Community' fish. A Jack Dempsey tank should be no smaller than 30 gallons for 2 fish.
Mystery snail (Pomacea Bridgesii) also called Apple snail are OK with the smaller fish but to put them in with large and aggressive cichlids like the Jack Dempsey (Cichlasoma octofasciatum) is begging to have them killed and eaten. The simple answer is no they are not compatible.
The Jack Dempsey Cichlid is a a very aggressive fish and there really is no real "recommended" tank mate. Usually you are best of with Oscars and introducing them at a similar size. It is also beneficial to use a clear tank divider for introductions. Other than that i have personally had luck with other species of Amazonian and Central American Cichlids like Pike and Serverums. No matter what you are taking a risk but make sure you have a VERY large tank otherwise there will be lots of territory issues.
They may be able to eat them but I very much doubt if they would live on them for long. Jack Dempseys are cichlids and should have a diet to suit including live food such as earth worms.
jack dempsey played in swimmming
Jack Dempsey was born on June 24, 1895.
Jack Dempsey - wrestler - was born in 1920.
Jack Dempsey - fish - was created in 1903.
Oh, dude, you're mixing up your Dempseys! Patrick Dempsey, aka McDreamy from Grey's Anatomy, is not Jack Dempsey's grandson. Jack Dempsey was a famous boxer from the early 1900s. So, no family ties there, just some confusion in the name game.
