Pink salmon reproduce by spawning sexually. After returning to where they were originated (at least usually they go back to roughly where they were born), the females deposit their eggs and one or more males fertilize them as they fall into the redd (a "redd" is a nest the female scooped out with her tail prior to releasing her eggs). It requires both the female and males to complete the process - hence "sexual" reproduction as opposed to "asexual". All healthy salmon are either male or female; they don't change sex.
Pink salmon was created in 1792.
Spores, which are tiny reproductive cells, are how ferns reproduce asexually. These spores are produced in structures called sporangia that grow on the underside of fern fronds. When released, spores can germinate and develop into new fern plants under suitable conditions.
