Most fish are egg-layers, so the female lays her eggs in a nest and then the male comes and fertilizes them. There are several breeds of live-bearers, which include guppies, mollies, and platies, among others, who reproduce sexually and the female carries the young to term (usually around a month.) -- from an unknown person :P nia
