To hook fish in "Bass Masters Classic" for the SNES, cast your line by pressing the appropriate button and wait for a fish to bite. When you see the bobber move, quickly press the hook button to set the hook. Timing is crucial; if you wait too long, the fish may get away. Once hooked, use the control pad to reel in the fish while managing your line tension.

"hook" could be a noun or verb. If it is talking about the item, "fish hook" then yes, it's a noun. If it's telling what to do, "hook that fish on the stick" then it's a verb.
Bass fishermen have many lures and methods with which to fish them. Among these lures is the plastic worm, a bait that the astute bass angler knows how to deliver to fish deep down beneath the weeds. By knowing how to do such overlooked things as setting the hook properly and choosing the correct line for their fishing needs, these people rarely return from an outing with long faces. kind regards
A baited hook is a fishing hook that has been attached to some form of bait, such as live bait or artificial bait, to attract fish. The bait is used to entice fish to bite onto the hook, allowing the angler to catch the fish.

I assume for the title of America's top gamefish. So, this fish is a common species, very aggressive, and a powerful fighter. Much fun on hook and line, with surging runs, and spectacular leaps, and a "never give up" attitude. More money is spent on the pursuit of this bass than any other game fish.
There are two main types of hook - the J hook and the circle hook. J hooks are used by directly driving the hook through the bait and into the fish with a strong upward tug. The hook can end up anywhere from the stomach of the fish to the jaw or be snagged on the exterior of the fish. Circle hooks are swallowed by the fish and are set by winding the line tight. The shape of the hook causes the point to swing around the jaw. Typically, 95% of the hook sets are in the fish's jaw. This allows the fish to be released relatively unharmed. Circle hooks are used very successfully in deep water fishing.
