They are the same thing.
Male fancy guppies are much more brightly colored and well.. "fancy." Females can also be colorful but they're normally more plain.
A female guppy has a darker brown line that is visible through its body. The male has a very light brown line.
A female guppy is pregnant for about 1-2 months, if you have a pregnant guppy i can tell that she will need to be separated from the other fish in a breeding box, you can buy breeding boxes from most stores for £3.97 ($5.97), because if she is left with other fish they will eat the babies. Some tell tale signs that she is close to delivering the babies is that she will stop eating, hang around away from the other fish and her gravid spot will be almost black. Pleased to help.
The female guppy will develop a dark spot on the side of her belly during pregnancy. As the pregnancy progresses, the spot will grow darker.
They are so obviously different from one another there could not possibly be a mistake in sexing them. The females are large and grey. The males are small and colourful. What is hard about that?
Breeding is easy but yet hard. All you need to do is get a boy and a girl guppy of course. If our going to have several guppies, then you don't get the same amount of boys and girls. It's should be 2 females for every male. When your female guppy is pregnant you can't tell by it's size. You have to look at it's gravid spot. Which is right behind their stomach and the tail. It's right around the butt of the guppy. It takes about a month for the babies to be born. Plus you can not stress out your the pregnant fish.
bellys get fater
"John, If you fancy Jane, just tell her!" or "I fancy a cheese sandwich right about now!"

The Gravid female will have the dark "gravid spot" in front of her vent. I can however assure you that if there has been a male in the same tank with a female guppy for any reasonable length of time she will be gravid.
To make you realize how much you actually want them yourself.
