I paid $850 for a 1977 55hp seahorse, 15.5ft Bomber bass boat and trailer. It had sat a few years before I bought it and wasn't sure of its history which was somewhat a gamble. I checked its compression and made sure it had spark before buying. I had to give it a tune up and some other minor boat work. It runs great now and have been geting a lot of use from it. The more I use it the better it runs. It all depends on how well you know its history, previous owners, does it run, always check the compression and for spark. This should give you some general idea
